One week 'till D-Day!

39 weeks and counting. We are officially one week from her due date - February 27th. Drew is still hoping for a Leap Year baby! We'll see what she decides is the perfect time! I'm feeling very heavy and tired, but know the end is near. I've been enjoying every minute I can get alone with Drew and we both are excited to have a new little addition to our family! Thanks to everyone who has been checking in and praying for us. We know God is watching over us during this time and will continue to guide us as we begin a  new chapter and journey in our lives - parenthood:)

Happy 4 Year Anniversary To Us!

As the 38th week of pregnancy closes out and we move into the final week or two...we stop today, February 16th, 2012, to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary. No "mommy" or "daddy" phrases, no "baby talk"...just acknowledging us - Drew and Kasey - and the four wonderful (and crazy!) years of being married. We've endured through thick and thin (and several state to state moves!). We've seen each other at our highest...and lowest. We are still together...fighting side by side, for us, for our love... It's been said that opposites attract...yes, this is true...but you also become one with your spouse to the point where you know what the other person is going to do, say, how they'll respond. We've become alike, yet still individuals in our own right. It's been so amazing to watch the transformation that we've taken in our marriage and our lives since we've been together (2007-present) I love him and he loves me. Plain and simple. I wouldn't have it any other way. So here's to another 4 years (and many many more!), a lifetime of happiness, and a marriage full of God's goodness and grace!

Baby Showers Galore!

Kasey was able to go to California a few weekends back and have not only one, but two baby showers!  It was a weekend to remember - with lots of darling clothes and registry items for the baby! Two of Kasey's college friends threw her a small house party shower in Sacramento! It was so much fun!

 In Huntington Beach, another three friends put on a party at a clubhouse in the area. The shower was full of food, games, and gifts! Many of Kasey's friends from her old church were there to celebrate the occasion:)
